about two years ago my 21 year old paint gelding stepped on a 8 penny nail and it went up into his hoof right next to the frog. he can still walk and i started to bareback ride him a little, but his cornett band is still swolin and it isn't back to normal yet and we are just wondering what all we can do for him to get his cornett band to go down and maybe get back to normal.

Hi Kacie,
We're not quite sure, it might be best to consult a vet on this one. Sorry we couldn't have better advise!
Take care!
